The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) is also proposing rule changes that focus on Star Ratings and marketing. The Medicare Open Enrollment 2026-27 will follow the standard dates, from October 15 to December 7, 2026, for changes that take effect January 1, 2027, allowing you to switch Medicare Advantage (Part C) or Prescription Drug (Part D) plans.

However if you want to get your existing benefits without any changing and your plans are also not ending in 2025 and continuing till 2026 then you can skip this period and are not required to change any details.

  • Changes in part B premium: Currently the monthly premium for part B is 185 USD which is projected to increase up to $206.50 per month from the year of 2026. Apart from this the annual deductible for part B is also projected to raise up to $288 in 2026.
